Jan 19, 2024 · Builders in Chaffee County are preparing for a new set of building codes to be adopted by Chaffee County and its municipalities beginning on March 1. The town of Buena Vista’s planning department has set Jan. 31 as the last day that it will accept permit applications under the old codes. In Salida, that deadline is 4 p.m. on Feb. 29.
