Jun 11, 2013 · The next day I went online to the MS Surface support page, put in my serial number and got instructions to send it in. Although I sent it regular, about a week later it came back to me fully repaired, free (under warranty) and shipped free. I was very pleased with how fast and easy the whole thing was.

Just got Surface Pro 4, says "Preparing Automatic Repair"
Nov 25, 2015 · UPDATE: Problem just got way worse. After attempting USB Recovery, I tried the Restore from cloud method and this time it didn't crash. It stayed on 0% the whole time so I canceled it and restarted the SP4. Now when I turn it on, all I get is the Surface logo flickering on the screen rapidly a few times then it enters the Surface UEFI screen. FML!
