Hike to Kuwohi - U.S. National Park Service
The bypass trail offers visitors high-elevation solitude in what is often a congested area of the park. Along this short route, visitors can enjoy vistas of Sugarland Mountain and the Elkmont area of the Smokies. Kuwohi Road (formerly known as Clingmans Dome Road) is closed in winter. Visitor Centers - U.S. National Park Service
Four visitor centers are located within the national park at Sugarlands, Oconaluftee, Cades Cove, and Clingmans Dome. The park has two historic gristmills , Cable Mill and Mingus Mill, that provide demonstrations of corn meal milling.
