Mar 28, 2022 · Due to me accidentally damaging my Surface Book 3 charger, I am required to buy a new one. Specs: Microsoft Surface Book 3 13,5" touch. GeForce GTX 1650, Core i7-1065G7, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Windows 10 Home. The charger included when I bought the laptop, was a 102w (model 1789). The only charger for sale now however, is 127w. Can I use the 127w?

Dec 17, 2020 · Microsoft has designed Surface software and firmware to prevent over charging, so the 127W official Surface power supply will work just fine. It is recommended to use the charger that comes with the device and to not use a third party charger.

Jun 13, 2020 · It is compatible however it will not supply 127w to the Surface Book 2. It appears that the older charger and dock have been discontinued. If you need a dock, the new dock would be a better choice as it provides a real improvement over the old one.
