Feb 23, 2019 · Where did you spray the CRC into ive read some other threads and they saod the PCV line or through the throttle body. I heard that we shouldnt spray in through the intake. Do any of you have a definitive answer on this?

Oct 23, 2018 · CRC GDI intake cleaner seems to work better. I do it around 30-40k miles, which is annual for me. However, that doesn't seem to be enough. Remember, GDI, so the fuel cleaner does nothing for intake valves, though a monthly bottle is good for the injectors, which definitely go blargh if you don't use high quality fuel with the cleaner bits in it.

Nov 10, 2019 · All I can do is recommend how to prevent it again possibly, every 10 to 15,000 miles use a gdi air intake valve cleaner, and fuel cleaner for gdi specifically. It's cheaper if you do it yourself, much cheaper. Crc, seafoam and BG come to mind, but everyone feels differently about which product I'm sure. (I like bg).

Oct 9, 2019 · found 2 things, that were big off the start, the hot pipe coming from the turbo was pulling loose. Second, was the PCV valve was not working at all. Just for measure, did a CRC turbo and valve cleaner treatment. GDI seems to have a real problem with buildup on the valves. The Idle is getting better and better.

Nov 10, 2016 · I tried the CRC GDI cleaner a few months ago sprayed through the TB while running and it barely touched any of it, so a couple weeks ago I pulled the IM off and did the valves two at a time with the others covered so nothing would go inside. LOTS of buildup.

Oct 19, 2012 · The valves on the GDI engines get gunked up with carbon which causes the engine to pre ignite and will rattle crazily at the RPMs mentioned. It's a very serious situation, but such a cheap fix. You need to do this before you blow your engine. Go and buy CRC valve cleaner for GDI ENGINES ($15CAD) follow the instructions and it will fix your problem.
