Following the winter storm, temperatures in Pennsylvania are expected to remain below freezing through the weekend, with lingering snow showers possible in higher elevations. According to the NWS, another system could bring light snow or wintry mix to parts of the state early next week, though confidence in accumulation amounts remains low.

Warmer and breezier weather moves in through Monday. A winter storm will move into New Mexico starting late Tuesday bringing widespread chances for rain and snow. It’s been a more mild day across New Mexico Sunday with high temperatures climbing to near average for this time of the year,

The cold air will be somewhat limited, but enough arctic air will wrap around the system that a snowstorm could break out in parts of Arizona, New Mexico and portions of the Plains.

The FOX Forecast Center is closely monitoring what is expected to be the next significant storm system that could dump heavy snow across portions of the Southwest and Plains while producing severe weather in the South and along the Gulf Coast.
