Royal Enfield’s famed 650 twin platform has been a big hit ever since the Interceptor and Continental GT came out. With the Shotgun 650 launching at the turn of the year, rumors were rife of upcoming models on this platform.

After many sightings in the past, Royal Enfield has finally revealed the Classic 650 Twin. This is the latest model that Royal Enfield has plonked its much-loved 648cc motor into and its styling is very similar to the company’s bestseller - the Classic 350.

The motorcycle is essentially based on the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 but gets a host of elements that are unique to it.

The Classic 650 is powered by the same 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine found in other models within the 650cc range. The bike also features a new digital-analogue instrument console, which includes a gear position indicator and comes standard with the Tripper navigation pod.

The Classic 650 gets the same dash as the Classic 350 which is an analog speedometer with a digital inset. It also has a USB charging port and both the clutch and the brake levers are adjustable units. The bike comes with a split-seat setup where the pillion seat can be detached for a sleeker look.
