A man and a woman have been hospitalized following two, separate, overnight shootings that happened in New Orleans in the evening hours of Dec. 25 and the early morning hours of Dec. 26.

A woman was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Wilkinsburg Thursday morning. According to Allegheny County Police, 911 was notified of a reported shooting around 3:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Doyle Street.

The first happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday on Lafaye Street near Selma Street in Gentilly. The other happened around 3 a.m. Thursday on Columbus Street near Henriette Delille on the edge of the Seventh Ward.

The Rockets (-7.5) are now at No. 2 in the Western Conference standings, while the injury ravaged Pelicans are mired in last place.
