Gatwick Airport rail station has been evacuated after a train caught fire with smoke seen pouring from under the carriage.

Commuters were evacuated from Gatwick Airport railway station due to a fire under a train on Monday. Images posted online showed black smoke billowing from a stationary carriage at a platform, as flames flickered under the vehicle.
