First Alert Weather Day issued for Wed PM (Feb. 12th) - Thu AM (Feb. 13)
The 13 First Alert Weather Team has issued a First Alert Weather Day from the late afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 12th through that night and into the morning of Thursday, Feb. 13 for winter storm that is forecast to bring accumulating snow and ice to the region.

We had a dreary Tuesday across Eastern Kentucky. We started off as snow where some places picked up as much as 1 to 6 inches depending on location.

THE NEXT BIG THING will be the possibility of another First Alert Weather Day for a severe weather threat this weekend. The good news is we will have a nice break in the rain for Valentine’s Day. In fact, some areas could see lows near freezing early on Friday, with a good supply of sunshine, and highs in the 60s.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY WEDNESDAY: Cloudy to start off the day. Snow moves into the area in the afternoon lasting through much of the night. Snow will be fairly heavy and wet and will also stick due to temperatures being below freezing. High of 26 and low of 17.

VALENTINE’S DAY: The rain will move out early Thursday and then a surge of colder air arrives. Temperatures will fall into the freezing range on Friday morning, and then we will have dry weather for the remainder of Valentine’s Day, with highs in the 60s. If you have dinner plans, no rain is expected for early evening.
