Uptown Cafe in Johns Creek -- is adding 50 cents to all egg orders because of the soaring cost of eggs. The cost of eggs has soared because of the current bird flu outbreak.

Local restaurants are feeling the sting of soaring egg prices, with some already passing the cost on to customers.

Moore Street Cafe owner Charlie Hughes said he paid $2.50 for a dozen eggs in the fall. That number doubled in December and now has risen to $7.50 for a dozen eggs.
