A vigil has taken place at the spot where a husband and wife were killed in a hit-and-run incident in west Dublin. A man is still being questioned by gardai about the incident in Blanchardstown Road North at about 5.

A woman has been killed and a man seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident after a car crashed into several pedestrians in Blanchardstown, Co Dublin on Thursday evening. The woman in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at North following the incident which occurred around 5.

Named locally as Anthony Hogg, 40, and wife, Georgina Hogg-Moore, 39, the couple tragically lost their lives at around 5.45pm on Boxing Day on Blanchardstown Road North, west Dublin. A vigil was held in honour of the couple at the scene of the incident on Friday evening.
