Los Angeles Chargers fans seem to fall into two camps in the wake of the franchise’s inaction at the NFL trade deadline. The first thinks the Chargers should have made a move. The defense is elite, so is Justin Herbert—why not go make a smart win-now move to give the team a better chance to compete in a weak AFC?

The Los Angeles Chargers are focused squarely on the task at hand, facing the Cleveland Browns on the road in Week 9. But as soon as the game is over — win or lose — the focus will shift to whether or not the team will make a deal before the November 5 trade deadline.

To make room on the roster, the Steelers released tight end Rodney Williams from the active roster. The team also waived wide receiver Andy Isabella and linebacker Craig Young from the practice squad.

The Los Angeles Chargers didn’t make a move before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday. Not for lack of trying, at least. One report said the Chargers were in on wideout Mike Williams before he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers.
