Wade Langston, 57, of Colorado Springs was a dedicated father and husband with a great sense of humor, relatives said.

A person is dead in Colorado after having been hit by an errant weight thrown by a competitor at a youth track and field competition.

The fatal incident occurred at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse on the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs campus around 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
