Microsoft Is Killing Windows Remote Desktop But There's A Replacement
Microsoft announced that the Skype app would no longer be available and would be replaced with Microsoft Teams by May. Yesterday, Microsoft made a similar announcement; however, this time, it will be replacing the Windows Remote Desktop app with the Windows App.
The Remote Desktop app will be shut down in May, requiring users to switch to the new Windows App for remote access.
Microsoft announced that it will drop support for the Remote Desktop app (available via the Microsoft Store) on May 27 and replace it with its new Windows App.
