Like many an automotive enthusiast, Hot Wheels were a critical part of my childhood. Now, there's a new level of excitement coming to the tiny toy car universe, because Ferrari is joining forces with Mattel to launch a whole new line of Italian sports car toys.

Ferrari is considered the most prestigious car manufacturer and most successful racing brand in the world. Both brands have collaborated since Hot Wheels debuted in 1968, and together, they have released 26 models. This year’s product line will include limited edition models, RC models, and 1:64 die-cast cars available through major retailers.

Hot Wheels and Ferrari are gearing up to collaborate again for the first time in over a decade. Announced at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair, Mattel revealed exciting plans to release a full range of die-cast cars and collectibles with the automotive brand.
