Residents are urged to take precautions for temperatures expected to dip to around 30 degrees early Thursday morning.

A freeze warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 2:27 p.m. valid for Wednesday between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. for Henry County.

Northeast and north-central Florida counties, including Suwannee, Baker, Nassau, Union, Bradford, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Alachua, Clay, Columbia, and Duval, are under freeze warnings and cold weather advisories. These regions are bracing for temperatures as low as 29 degrees early Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a freeze warning valid for Thursday between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.
