Novak Djokovic won’t defend his ATP Finals title after ruling himself out Tuesday citing an injury, leaving the season-ending event without a member of the Big Three of men’s tennis for the first time in 23 years.

Novak Djokovic announced on Tuesday that he has withdrawn from the upcoming ATP Finals 2024 which is scheduled to take place from November 10 to 17 in Turin, Italy.

Novak Djokovic will not play at the ATP Finals in Turin because of injury. The Serbian won a record seventh title at the season-ending event last year by beating Jannik Sinner in the final and will miss it for only the second time since making his debut in 2007.

Djokovic had qualified automatically for the ATP Finals but his withdrawal means Alex De Minaur and Andrey Rublev are confirmed for the eight-player tournament in Turin. They join Jannik Sinner, Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz and Casper Ruud.
