Meredith Vieira's husband Richard Cohen died on Christmas Eve at age 76 after living with multiple sclerosis for more than 50 years. The couple, who wed on June 14, 1986 and share three children, would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in 2025.

Richard Cohen, the journalist husband of broadcaster Meredith Vieira, has died at 76, more than 50 years after an MS diagnosis. He also beat colon cancer twice.

Cohen, who also battled cancer twice, was diagnosed with MS at age 25 and told Vieira about it on their second date. They wed in 1986.
