The Philadelphia Flyers were shut out, 3-0, by the New York Islanders at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday evening.

Ilya Sorokin made 23 saves for his third shutout of the season, and Simon Holmstrom broke a scoreless tie with a goal midway through the game as the Isles blanked the Philadelphia Flyers 3-0 before a crowd of 18,703 at Wells Fargo Center.

Sorokin is set to start on the road against Philadelphia on Thursday, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday. Sorokin has won his past four outings while stopping 85 of 89 shots (.955 save percentage).

The New York Islanders (23-20-7) marched into the Wells Fargo Center and soundly defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (23-24-6) 3-0 on Thursday night.

The New York Islanders (22-20-7) go for their sixth-straight win when they visit the Philadelphia Flyers (23-23-6). Ilya Sorokin and Ivan Fedotov is the expected goalie matchup. The Isles Morning Minute is presented by Acrisure.
