The late filmmaker David Lynch has been named the recipient of the WGA West’s 2025 Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement.
Kyle MacLachlan is an actor. He starred in five projects made by David Lynch: “Dune”; “Blue Velvet”; the ABC series “Twin Peaks”; its prequel film, “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me”; and Showtime’s “Twin Peaks: The Return.”
MacLachlan and Lynch worked together for decades, with the star appearing in several of the director’s hits like “Blue Velvet” (1984) and the early ’90s series “Twin Peaks” that spawned the movie prequel, “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” (1992) and Showtime’s “Twin Peaks: The Return” (2017).
