Instead of a $20 or $30 standalone plan, Google added a few dollars to its business tiers and applied the Gemini generative AI to all plans.

Gemini AI is now bundled into all Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans. The separate $20 Gemini add-on is being eliminated, and its features are now included in the standard Workspace subscriptions.

Previously, Google charged an additional $20+ per user/month for Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Meet, and other Workspace apps. The full Gemini experience is now coming to Google Workspace business users as part of a price increase.

What's that? You don't want to pay $20 for Gemini? Well then Google will just put it in anyway and raise the price. Hooray?

There is a catch, though: as it makes this change, Google is increasing the price of all Workspace plans. Jerry Dischler, Google’s president of cloud applications, tells me companies will pay roughly $2 more per month per user for the AI-enabled Workspace than they were paying before.

With Gemini now included in Business and Enterprise tiers, Google is increasing the price of Workspace plans in 2025.

Google Workspace customers might see a slight increase in their plan costs, instead of paying separately for add-ons to access AI capabilities.

Google increased the price of the Workspace Microsoft also included its Copilot Pro AI capabilities in the standard Microsoft 365 subscriptionplan to $14 but made the AI features free.
