Hyman and his family have officially purchased the OHL's Brantford Bulldogs from Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer.

The new owners of the Brantford Bulldogs signed a memorandum of understanding to play at a proposed Brantford, Ont., sports complex, with options to renew the agreement for up to 40 years.

The OHL announced Monday they approved the transfer of ownership of Brantford to a group led by Hyman and his family, including his brother Spencer and father Stuart, from Michael Andlauer, whose purchase of the Ottawa Senators was approved by the NHL Board of Governors on Sept. 21, 2023.

Oilers left winger Zach Hyman released a statement after the OHL Board of Governors approved a transfer of ownership of the Brantford Bulldogs to him and his family.

The OHL says the new ownership group is pursuing a long-term lease agreement with the city that would include plans for a new arena.

Michael Andlauer has sold the Brantford Bulldogs to a group led by Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman, the OHL team announced Monday. The league’s board of directors has approved the sale, and Hyman will assume control of team operations starting Jan.
