Mesa police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred the evening of Nov. 9 that left one man dead. Brandi Meyers, a department spokesperson, said the collision occurred just after 6 p.m. near Stapley and University Drives.

A fatal Mesa hit-and-run killed 54-year-old Jose Luis Garcia. The suspect, who drove an older, silver passenger truck, is at large, Mesa Police said.

A 58-year-old driver was heading east on Ronson in a Toyota Camry when he struck the man, who was trying to cross from south to north using a wheelchair. The injured man was taken by paramedics to a hospital, where he died.
