A man was arrested by Lafayette police this week after attempting to carry a firearm into the Comeaux High School stadium before a football game. The Lafayette Parish School System’s weapons detection system safeguarded the Madison Prep versus Southside High game on Thursday when it alerted officials to the firearm, according to LPSS
