Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Thursday that Jewish-American voters would be partly to blame if he loses the Nov. 5 election to Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate.

In speeches Thursday night — the first to a small crowd of donors and backers billed as a “Fighting Antisemitism” event, the second to a packed ballroom at the Israeli American Council conference — Trump pledged he would be the “defender” of American Jews and of Israel.

During a Thursday night speech meant to address antisemitism, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump slammed Jewish people who don’t plan on voting for him, claiming that should he lose in November then Israel would be “eradicated” and American Jews would be to blame, CBS News reported.
