The vice president kicked off the conservative gathering by urging European allies to adopt right-wing views on immigration and offering a defense of the administration’s early moves.

The straw poll, which has been traditionally very accurate in predicting future candidates, showed Vice President JD Vance as the favorite to be the next Republican presidential candidate with 61 percent of the vote.
