He’s currently suing the company over its decision to become a for-profit corporation, and he regularly trolls the company on X—the platform he bought for $44 billion back in 2022. The latest spat began after Altman joined Trump, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison in a White House ceremony on Tuesday to announce the launch of Stargate, a $500 billion venture to advance the United States’ artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Though Altman said he likely wouldn’t agree with Trump on “everything,” the OpenAI CEO said he believes “he will be incredible for the country in many ways.”
