Good news for skywatchers: The Auroras are coming back! For those in the northern states, the Aurora Borealis, or northern lights, are likely this week, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Weather Prediction Center.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration expects several states in the northern U.S. to have an opportunity to see the northern lights Tuesday night as geomagnetic storms will likely disrupt Earth’s magnetic field.

The northern lights may be visible across parts of the US this week, according to a new forecast from NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center. States like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and New York are among those with a chance to catch the aurora borealis.
