Shrek and the Minions will both be on the big screen in 2026. Universal Pictures announced Friday that the highly-anticipated animated movies are swapping their theatrical release dates, with DreamWorks Animation's “Shrek 5” pushing back from July 1,

This is per the doomspeakers over at Deadline, who revealed that Universal has forestalled the birth of the long-gestating Shrek 5, delaying it from a July 2026 release to Christmas of that same year.
