a river, a field, a wheat bushel and 17 arrows all in front of a rising son. While the seal represents the entire state the landscape is inspired by Ross County with Mount Logan and the Scioto River.

California is turning 175 years old later this year. To mark the occasion, we will be looking at several aspects of the state seal, as well as the nation’s seal and those of other states.
