On SNL, Donald Trump says his administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files is linked to his changes to the capital's architecture
"We released all the files, and I come out looking, frankly, very good," the show's POTUS impersonator bragged besides an almost entirely black-out excerpt.
The cold open wasn't the first time SNL mentioned Epstein, even in cold opens. But it was the first episode since the recent release of new files pertaining to Epstein on Friday, followed by the quick removal of some of them on Saturday.
On Saturday, December 20, James Austin Johnson once again embodied the POTUS, 79, for the opening skit. Johnson, as Trump, gave a Christmas address, and SNL took aim at the renaming of the Kennedy Center to the Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.
In the cold open for the final "SNL" of 2025, James Austin Johnson's Donald Trump talked about his Hunger Games and the Epstein files.
The POTUS also showed footage of a 'suspected drug plane' and the U.S. military opening fire on Santa's sleigh.
In tonight's SNL Cold Open, a drugged-up Trump (James Austin Johnson) took questions on Air Force One and found time to take out Santa Claus.
After a two-week hiatus, “Saturday Night Live” returned with a new episode Dec. 6 with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon, marking McCarthy’s sixth time hosting, her first since 2017, and Dijon’s “SNL” debut.
