The M in the logo, created by consulting firm FutureBrand of New York, is meant to mimic the museum's iconic columns, said Rob Gallas, chief marketing officer for the Museum of Science and Industry.

The Museum of Life and Science, which reopened to museum members earlier this month, will welcome the general public Friday and is opening up more exhibits this week.
