Mii March - AKA Mii Profile Picture Month - started life back in 2013 when a bunch of 3DS owners promoted their Miis in celebration of the console's second birthday.

As for Miis, although the Miiverse does not return, you'll be able to use your existing Mii as a profile picture, or create a new one. The Nintendo Switch is out starting March 3.
