Greggs warns of job losses as it plans four factory closures despite recent sales surge and future outlook improvement.

Warehouse investors Tritax Big Box Developments, has announced the ‘practical completion’ of a new national distribution centre for Greggs at Symmetry Park Kettering, near Isham.

Greggs has said it plans to shut four factories with the loss of about 740 jobs as part of an overhaul of its food manufacturing operations.

Over 700 jobs are now at risk as Greggs closes four major locations in the UK.
