On Friday night, 39-year-old Anthony Egeonu was fatally shot while working security and trying to prevent shoplifting, based on a GoFundMe supporting his family. A day later, two juveniles, age 13 and 15, were taken into custody, police said. Their names will not be released due to their age, police said later.

Dallas police said a 27-year-old man found in the Red Bird area with a gunshot wound died from his injuries. According to a news release from Dallas police, at about 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 4300 block of W. Camp Wisdom Road.
