The Arctic fox doesn't show a fear response to people, staff said, and approached humans when she was rescued. Due to her upbringing, staff said she would not be able to survive in the wild.

The rescue came after the fox made headlines earlier this month when it was spotted by 64-year-old Richard Melling and his wife while they were walking across the Sellwood Bridge in Portland.
