Yashasvi Jaiswal was way short of his crease after a mix-up with Virat Kohli while attempting a quick single on the second day of the Boxing Day Test against Australia.

Australia's Steve Smith credited a last-session breakthrough, including the dramatic run-out of Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal at the end of the second day's play as the turning point in the Boxing Day Test.

India's strong start in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG crumbled within 30 minutes, slipping from 153/2 to 159/5 due to a mix-up between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli and poor decisions on Day 2. Australia now holds a 310-run lead.

Sunil Gavaskar said that although it was a "risky single," Virat Kohli would have made his ground had he run on Yashasvi Jaiswal's call.
