PlayStation's free PS Plus games for January 2025 are now available for a limited time, and one of the titles is a very controversial title from 2024.

As ever, January’s Essential games are available for anyone with a PlayStation Plus membership, regardless of tier.

PlayStation Plus subscribers are just hours away from the launch of the next batch of free PS4 and PS5 games for January.

PlayStation Plus typically updates its free game catalogue on the first Tuesday of every month around 12 pm UK time. For Indian gamers, this translates to approximately 5:30 pm IST on January 7. These are your monthly Essential games, available to all levels of PlayStation Plus subscriber, and they will be unlocked on Tuesday, January 7. As ever, this is also your final reminder to pick up December’s games. They are It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent and TemTem.

While the free PS Plus titles for January 2025 have been announced, subscribers will still need to wait until January 7 before the games are available for download. From then on, January 2025's PS Plus games will remain accessible to subscribers until February 3, 2025, so they should have plenty of time to add each game to their library.
