A second person has died in Maharashtra due to suspected Guillain-Barré Syndrome, raising the total number of fatalities to 16. Health officials have reported over 100 cases in Pune, with a team of expert doctors from the central government assisting in managing the situation.

"The patient, suffering from symptoms like breathlessness, weakness in lower limbs, and diarrhoea, was admitted to a private hospital (in Solapur) on January 18 as he was on ventilator support on and off.
