Today’s primary concern for our First Alert Weather Day is the severe weather, but very thick fog has also formed overnight and will hang around near and especially west of I-35 through mid-morning. Visibility will be reduced below a mile on a fairly widespread basis and most counties west of I-35 are under a Dense Fog Advisory through 10 AM.

ROCHESTER. N.Y. Another cold and cloudy day is in store for the Rochester area today. Temperatures this morning are in the high 20s, and will max out in the low 30s. Cold temperatures mean there may be slick spots on roads or sidewalks, so watch your step on your way out the door this morning. Black ice can look just like water on pavement.

Our main threats will be Damaging winds, Large Hail, as well as Tornadoes possible, especially in areas towards the Mississippi River.

Severe storms are expected anywhere between 11am-11pm with the bulk of the system moving through between 2pm-7pm.

Storms are expected to cover the Metroplex by mid-morning. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats.
