Police have identified the three victims injured in a New Year’s Day double homicide shooting in Northfield Township.

According to the coroner, the bodies that were discovered in the home were those of 51-year-old Malisa K. Kegg and 34-year-old Michael Kegg III. After an autopsy was conducted for the victims, the coroner's office says it was determined that both died from gunshot wounds to the chest.

The victims were identified by St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye, Sr. as as Deron E.Baker, 57, and Kaven R. Gathing, 59. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene at 12:45 a.m., Dye said.

Birmingham Police are on the scene of a homicide that occurred New Year’s Day. According to BPD, an investigation is underway in the 400 block of Roebuck Drive. At this time, details are limited. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
