Police are investigating after a person was shot Monday night in Belmont, Massachusetts. Multiple 911 calls were made at 9:12 p.m., reporting gunshots in the area of Clark Lane. Upon arrival, police determined the shooter and victim fled the area. Police later learned the victim self-transported to Auburn Hospital for treatment.

Belmont Police spent hours overnight investigating a crime scene on Pearson Road. Crews taped off the road investigators searched the area. Our Boston 25 photographer on the scene captured video of several evidence markers and at least one bullet casing on the ground.
