Former AEW World Champion MJF defeated his former best friend Adam Cole this past weekend at Worlds End. At AEW Worlds End, MJF successfully defended his Dynamite Diamond Ring for the fifth consecutive year.

Adam Cole wants to add the AEW World Championship to the list of world titles that he has held. Cole has held the top title in NXT and ROH, and he has held other championships as well. He joined AEW in 2021,

MJF and Adam Cole came face-to-face on the December 21st episode of AEW Collision. MJF opened by commenting on Cole's weak ankle, how he never won the AEW World Title, and how he might be worried about cavities because his dentist, referencing Cole's ex-girlfriend Britt Baker, won't see him anymore. MJF closed by calling Cole a crack baby.

MJF secures the ownership of the Dynamite Diamond Ring for another year at AEW Worlds End. The finish of the match saw MJF hit Adam Cole with a low blow followed by the Heatseeker to score the pinfall victory.
