The tour guy Mop was great I gave it 4 because I accepted to see more animals Mop explained because it's not been raining so we couldn't see frogs,we saw sloths, some insects the tour was nice.Full review by Sylvia I

Tourist trap. Scammers everywhere. You don’t know who works for the park who is taking advantage of you. Beautiful beach. Park just ok. You are in Costa Rica. You can find better parks and nice beach…Full review by Journey08954460718

Is there a direct bus from Monteverde or do You have to change in Puntarenas or backtrack thru San Jose?

We had to change at Puntarenas, get a bus to Quepos, then the shuttle bus to MA

Is this a suitable swimming beach for a family including a 9-year-old? Are there times of day when the waves and riptides are safer? Any other safe swimming beaches between there and Jaco? We will be in Jaco for a few days but plan on using it as a base.

There were lifeguards there constantly warning of riptides. The water is shallow for some time and our 5-11 year olds all had a blast! Definitely didn’t go deep.

You can bring sealed drinks wrapped sandwiches while fruit (apples banana oranges) but no chips crackers cookies of any kind
