This is a wonderful beach to go to for swimming and laying in the sun. The water is so blue and a nice temperature. The beach is a bit Rocky so bring your water shoes. There was a bar and restaurant …Full review by DotsGirl2

There is a paved parking lot and a drop off area with handicapped parking.....,, pavement to the sand, nice bathrooms and shower available....only the sand would stop you from getting to the ocean....but it's a short beach so water scene is beautiful and there are palm trees for shade, and a restaurant on the water. One of the most photographed beaches on the Big Island and we've been going for16 yrs to Waikoloa. Get the Blue Book of the Big Island to read about all the great sites to see....aloha!

We saw them in the mid afternoon over to the right hand side of the Bay. I was snorkeling there when to my surprise I saw a turtle swimming along about one foot beneath me. I could have touched it. This continued for several minutes. Even more surprising the turtle came out of the water when I did. It looked around for a while before re-entering the water..
