The Chimmeys Picnic Area is a great place to picnic when traveling though the park. Especially nice after rains when there is a lot of water flow in the river.Full review by gfmn2000

Chimney Rock and the Chimneys are 2 completely different places. The Chimneys Picnic Area is in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Chimney Rock is in North Carolina over 100 miles away. The Chimneys Picnic Area has recently reopened and so I am assuming the bathrooms are open as well.
